ABOUT LSAT
LSAT – The Law School Admission Test is an entry requirement to most of the American Bar Association (ABA) approved law schools as part of the application requirement. The test is developed and managed by the Law School Admission Council (LSAT). The test measure skills that are required to succeed in law school. The test is taken by the applicants who aspire to pursue law course post their undergraduate studies. The skills are assessed across three different question formats – reading comprehension, analytical reasoning and logical reasoning.

The sections on the LNAT are aimed to measure skills such as ability to think critically, comprehension, insight and accuracy, to draw inference, to reason and to evaluate arguments. Each section on the LSAT is 35-minute long. Four out of five sections are scored. A 35-minute writing task has to be completed towards the end of the test. The writing task is unscored however the written samples are sent to all law schools that you have chosen to apply.
LSAT TEST SECTIONS
Logical Reasoning
Around 50% of the questions on the LSAT are based on logical reasoning as there will be at least two logical reasoning sections. This section include arguments written in a few sentences. These arguments measure your ability to analyze and identify false assumptions in the argument
Analytical Reasoning
This is an interesting section that measures your capability to see the overall relationship between the parts of the question by defining relationship between the smaller parts.
Reading Comprehension
The section measures your ability to understand the intended meaning of the complex texts through effective reading techniques.
LSAT TEST SCORING
The raw score is calculated based on the number of questions answered correctly. All questions carry equal weightage. The raw score is converted to a scale score from 120 to 180 through a statistical method known as Equating. This method of scoring effectively adjusts the test score as per the variations in level of difficulty of the test. The test is machine scored. There is no negative marking.

LSAT TEST SCORE REPORT
The official score report will be sent by email if you have an LSAT account online in approximately three weeks after the test date. Otherwise, the official score report will be sent by mail if you do not have an online account. Score report includes scores of all the tests taken by you in the last five years.
