ABOUT LNAT
LNAT–The Law National Aptitude Test is an admissions aptitude test that is part of an admissions requirement for the undergraduate law programs in the UK.
The content of the LNAT is developed and managed by the members of the LNAT Consortium. The test is administered by Pearson VUE in association with the LNAT Consortium.
This test is not designed to measure your knowledge of law instead it measure skills required to pursue law course. The test measures your verbal reasoning skills which is considered to be crucial for you to study law.

LNAT SECTIONS
LNAT Section A
This section is aimed to measure key skills in reading and reasoning, which are considered to be vital for you to possess to study law. These skills are integral part of tasks which require response thatcounters an argument, spots flaw and recognizes multiple interpretations during the study and practice of law.The skills are measured based on your responses to 12 extracts of arguments with each argument followed by 3 or 4 multiple-choice questions. Within a section, you can navigate back and forth to change your answers or to respond to unanswered questions. This section is timed for 95 minutes.
LNAT Section B
This is an essay that evaluates your response on persuasiveness of your writing, balanced opinion with evidence, structure, grammar, style, tone and other aspects of standard written English. This section provides a platform to showcase your ability to produce an appropriate response through strong writing skills.You need to answer one essay question out of the three essay questions given. You get 40 minutes to complete this task.
LNAT SCORING
LNAT Section A is computer scored on a scale from 0 to 42 (LNAT score) based on the correct responses produced.
LNAT Section B is unscored however the LNAT score and the essay are made available to the universities that you choose in the UCAS form. It’s an opportunity for you to exhibit your writing and other associated skills.

LNAT Test Dates and Registration Deadlines
LNAT must be taken only once during an academic year.
For entry to universities in autumn 2019, you may consider taking the LNAT once between 1 September, 2018 and 30 June, 2019.
LNAT SCORE REPORTS
Score report is emailed to you after you take the test. Tests taken between 1 September and 20 October will be available for the universities to download October 21st onwards.
Tests taken post October 20th will be available for the universities to download within 24 hours of testing.
